Cyngor Ysgol Tystysgrif Arian Eco Sgolion

The school were recently awarded the Silver Eco-school Certificate for their efforts in working towards a sustainable future. Here are year 5 and 6 members of the School Council holding the certificate.

Congratulations to the school football team for coming 2nd in the Urdd Gobaith Cymru 5 a side competition for the small schools in the Aberystwyth area.

There have been many improvements to the garden. The children took part in building a Willow Dome. Also, we have a lovely new log cabin!

An afternoon Tea/coffee was held to raise money for the Haiti Disaster Appeal – £250 was raised. Many thanks to all for their support.

Urdd Eisteddfod 2010

The Singing Party for school with less than 50 children came 2nd in the Aberystwyth area Eisteddfod. Well done!

The School raised £70 towards The Aberystwyth and District Branch of Epilepsy Action by holding a toy sale.

We have a new mobile classroom for Key Stage 2 pupils. A breakfast Club will be starting on Monday, 20th September.

Our Key Stage 2 teacher, Lisa Regan took part in a Marathon to raise money for Ty Hafan, the Children’s Hospice in Wales. It was decided that the £165 raised at our Harvest Thanksgiving Service would also go to this appeal.

On Friday, 19th November the School Council arranged tea/coffee and raffle to raise money for Children in Need. They raised £145, many thanks to all.

We  collected 4318 Morrison’s Let’s Grow vouchers. Thank you for supporting us.

 Members of Merched y Wawr Mynach recently planted 2 apple trees in the school garden. The children skipped and to follow we had tea and cake. We raised £220 towards the British Heart Foundation. Many thanks to all.

A big THANK YOU to all who supported our recent Auction and helped us raise £4,530 towards our door  and out-side learning project. The evening was a huge success. Thank you all!
